Day 1 - Arrive to Lhasa (3650m)
Arrive in Lhasa and transfer to your hotel in the heart of Tibet’s capital. Sitting at around 3,650 m, the rest of the day is kept easy to allow for acclimatisation. Take a short walk, enjoy your first Tibetan meal, and soak in the atmosphere of this extraordinary city on the Roof of the World.

Day 2 - City tour including the Potala Palace
A relaxed acclimatisation day combined with a guided city tour of Lhasa’s cultural and spiritual highlights. We visit the iconic Potala Palace, once the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas, along with key monasteries and local neighbourhoods.

Day 3 - Bike prep & ride to Ganden monastery
After completing bike paperwork and final checks, we head out on our first ride to Ganden Monastery, dramatically perched high above the Kyi Chu Valley. This scenic warm-up ride introduces Tibetan roads, altitude riding, and breathtaking mountain views, setting the tone for the adventure ahead.

Day 4 - Lhasa to Gyantse via Yamdrok (3950m)
A spectacular riding day as we leave Lhasa and climb toward Kambala Pass, revealing the stunning turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake far below. Riding alongside one of Tibet’s most sacred lakes, we continue west to the historic town of Gyantse, home to ancient forts and monasteries.

Day 5 - Gyantse to Shegar (4300m)
From Gyantse, the ride heads west across vast, open landscapes framed by distant Himalayan peaks. Altitude steadily increases as we reach Shegar, sitting at around 4,300 m, a key staging point for the Everest region.

Day 6 - Shegar to Everest Base Camp (5200m)
An iconic and emotional day as we ride toward Everest Base Camp (North Face) at approximately 5,200 m. The north face of Everest dominates the skyline. We spend the night at Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world, at around 4,980 m, beneath Everest’s immense presence.

Day 7 - EBC to Shigatse (3840m)
After sunrise views of Everest, we descend from extreme altitude, retracing dramatic mountain roads before continuing toward Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city, located at approximately 3,840 m.

Day 8 - Shigatse to Lhasa (3650m)
The final riding day follows smooth scenic highways along the Brahmaputra River back to Lhasa. A relaxed but rewarding ride, reflecting on the journey across the Tibetan Plateau and the roof of the world.

Day 9 - Departure Day
After breakfast, transfers are arranged for departure. The journey ends, but memories of high passes, sacred lakes, and riding to Everest Base Camp at over 5,000 meters will last a lifetime.
