INTRODUCTION
Come with us on a journey into Tibet - one of the most majestic and controversial destinations on earth. Very few people have been fortunate enough to visit Tibet and experience the beauty and spirituality of the Tibetan people which resonates throughout the land.
There are countless highlights in this trip including the awe-inspiring Potala Palace in Lhasa, the numerous monasteries dotted on the landscape, the unbelievably well maintained roads that make you feel like you're at the Philip Island GP. But beyond doubt the highlight of the trip is getting up close and personal to Everest Base Camp sitting at 5200m. It's motorcycle heaven...or is it nirvana over there?
ITINERARY

Day 1 - Arrive to Kathmandu
Arrive to Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel where you'll meet the riding crew and get the show on the road!

Day 2 - Kathmandu sightseeing
Whilst Matt gets the Tibet visas underway, you will be guided around Kathmandu to prepare you for the abundance of Buddhist culture that is to come.

Day 3 - Fly to Pokhara (Hearts & Tears headquarters)
Fly to Pokhara in the morning and head to the Hearts & Tears headquarters. Meet your bikes and get set up for the ride ahead. Maybe even a last minute massage...

Day 4 - Pokhara to Bandipur
Today we get on the road proper and head east to Bandipur which is a beautifully preserved town which once served as an Indo-Tibetan trade station.

Day 5 - Bandipur to Nuwakot
Head further north today and close in on the Tibetan border. Matt will join the group again with the visas completed. We stay at an incredible Nepalese farm house tonight.

Day 6 - Nuwakot to Kyriong (Tibet)
It's an early start to make a run for the border today and complete the custom/immigration process. Once in Tibet we are met by our local guides before moving onto Kyriong.

Day 7 - Kyriong to Shekar
It's a big day today as we climb higher to the Tibetan plateau and bucket across the Skekar, skirting turquoise blue lakes we we ride high!

Day 8 - Shekar to Everest Base Camp!
Today is AMAZING! Never have I experienced such motorcycle bliss. Ride on perfect roads with Buddha knows how many switchbacks before arriving at Everest Base Camp. It's a total thrill and something you'll never forget.

Day 9 - Everest Base Camp to Gyantse
We continue east towards Lhasa and pass through numerous Tibetan villages enroute. We stay in Gyantse, one of Tibets larger cities.

Day 10 - Gyantse to Yamdrok Lake
Glacier lined roads...you got it. Monasteries....you got it. Holy lakes....you got it. Today kicks ass.

Day 11- Yamdrok Lake to Lhasa
We take the backroads into Lhasa as we climb to above 5000m. The traffic builds as Tibet's capital gets closer and closer and finally, there it is, Potala Palace.

Day 12 - Lhasa sightseeing
We enter Potala Palace this morning and get a guided tour of this amazing spiritual destination. In the evening we head into the old town of Tibet and wander the beautiful laneways and get a bit of shopping in.

Day 13 - Depart Lhasa
It's time to say goodbye! What a trip it's been. Most riders will take an international flight back home with a plethora of stories to tell and hopefully a new perspective on the world we live in.
