This 7-day tour showcases some of the best Nepal has to offer in a reasonably short time-frame giving riders a brilliant Royal Enfield experience. The tour is designed for intermediate riders and is ridden mainly on paved roads. It is an easier ride as compared to some of our other tours which is perfect if you prefer to kick back, listen to the sound of the single-cyclinder thump, and ride on. It is also the ideal ride for couples who would like to ride two-up, singing various renditions of Sweet Home Alabama to each other as the Himalayas drift on by ;)
The accommodation standard along the way is excellent. We have hand-picked the hotels from years of touring in Nepal and the quality and character of each place visited adds to the experience. Each day is also vastly different as you ride from the central hill-region of Nepal into Indo/Tibetan trade-stations, visit the birthplace of the uniting King of Nepal, roam the jungles of Chitwn NP near India (home to the Bengal Tiger), traverse the magestic valleys of Palpa where our favourite orgnanic farm is located, and drag your pegs along the Dragon's Tail to Pokhara. Legendary.
Day 1 - Welcome to Pokhara!
Relax by the lake and take in the beautiful surrounds by day. Meet your riding team, your trusty steed, and tour briefing by night. Tomorrow we ride!
Day 2 - Pokhara to Bandipur (with a twist!)
Ride out from Pokhara along a brilliant ridge line overlooking the Annapurna mountain range. Continue on to hill-side village of Bandipur, climbing 1000m in little over 8km. It’s a twisty ride that will test your cornering skills!
Day 3 - Bandipur to Chitwan NP via Gorkha
Ride from the central hill region of Nepal to the southern plateau via the ancient town of Gorkha, home to the mighty Gurkha warriors. We then ride to Chitwan NP – Nepal’s oldest national park and home to the Bengal Tiger!
Day 4 - Chitwan NP (jungle activities and ride)
Unwind and absorb the safari vibe. Explore the national park to spot rhinoceros, deer, sloth bear, various monkeys, crocodiles and if you're lucky, the Bengal Tiger. In the afternoon we ride to some interesting local Tharu villages.
Day 5 - Chitwan NP to Lumbini (Buddha)
Ride west from Chitwan and take lunch at our favourite little hotel with a great pool to cool off in. Continue south stopping at the Indian border to witness the mayhem and then ride further west to Lumbini - the birthplace of Buddha.
Day 6 - Lumbini to Tansen (Palpa)
Wake early to explore the world heritage listed reserve and visit the birthplace of Gautam Buddha - the main man. We then take an absolutely extraordinary route to Palpa and arrive at our organic farm nestled in a quaint valley. Such good food!
Day 7 - Tansen to Pokhara
We save the best riding day of the tour to last! By now you are one with your machine and today will leave you with a grin from ear to ear. An outstanding 6 hour ride along the ‘dragon’s tail’ that zig zags it’s way north back to homebase, Pokhara!
