Inclusions:

Rental of a motorcycle, permits (where necessary), bike damage insurance (typically with a US$1000 excess*), twin-share accommodation on tour, all breakfasts, lunches & dinner (when on tour), petrol, English speaking guide, English speaking mechanic, support vehicle with driver, airport transfers.

Exclusions:

Transport to/from country of tour, Travel insurance (mandatory), Visa (if required), accommodation outside of tour, food and beverages while not on tour, Alcohol & snacks/drinks outside of meal times, personal expenses (i.e laundry, tips).

 

Bike damage insurance:

If a Hearts & Tears owned bike, safety equipment or accessories are damaged in any circumstances (eg accident, engine abuse, theft, Police issues etc), I must pay for all repairs up to the amount of the insurance excess. The insurance policy covers any damage over the excess amount. Any bike damage is the responsibility of the rider.

 

*Insurance is only effective if the rider is licensed and carries an International Driving Permit (IDP).

 

What the insurance does not cover:

Personal injury (I acknowledge that I should have travel insurance and carry emergency cash). Damage to other people, vehicles or property up to the excess amount (I must pay for this damage). The insurance policy comes into effect when the damage exceeds the excess amount. Recovery of a damaged bike.

 

Risks and responsibilities:

I understand the risks of participating in a motorcycle tour in remote locations. Emergency services may not always be available. Hearts & Tears cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss or medical issue. I will carry my driving license and IDP. The Police may fine me if I fail to show my license. I will obey the traffic laws and wear safety equipment when on the road. I will not ride at night. I will not ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I am aware that the tours rides on off-road surfaces and that I have adequate experience and skills to safely complete the tour. If my riding ability is not adequate and I am a risk to others, myself, or are affecting the tour in anyway, I may be asked to continue the trip in the support vehicle. The tour leader will make this decision and his decision is final.

Confirmed bookings:

The tour is confirmed once the deposit is received. Until this time, Hearts & Tears may take other bookings and I risk losing my place. The final payment for the tour is due 120-days before the tour start date.

 

Cancellation policy/deposits:

The deposit payment is non-refundable. If more than 120-days notice is given (before the tour start date), rescheduling arrangements will be made and the deposit can be transferred to another tour to be used within 12 months of the original tour start date. If less than 120-days notice is given, the deposit payment is non-refundable or transferable.

 

For payments above the deposit amount:

If more than 90-days notice is given, any payments made above the deposit amount are non-refundable but can be transferred to another tour to be used within 12 months of the original tour start date. If less than 90-days notice is given, all payments are non-refundable or transferable. *If a payment is transferred, it must be put towards the same tour that was originally booked.

 

If I cancel or cut short the tour for any reason after departure (e.g. illness, fatigue, accident), payments will not be refunded. Refunds will not be given for any unused services. HTMC will provide a written letter for any issue arising from a health or personal issue that prevents the rider from undertaking the tour for insurance purposes.

 

Cancellations by the Club:

Hearts & Tears cannot guarantee departure or completion of the tour. If the entire itinerary is cancelled, I will be refunded the full payment. The Club reserves the right to delay, cut short, extend, or re-route the tour for any reason (e.g. bad weather, natural disasters, your riding skills or conduct, technical issues, political unrest, petrol shortages etc). The Club will try to offer reasonable alternatives, but it is not obliged to refund payment.

 

I have read the Terms & Conditions. I understand this is a legally binding contract.
